Project Description
New Reception Hub at Grange Leisure Park
The client’s instructions were to create a service point for arrivals and check-ins at the entrance to the Park. This space needed to include various facilities and operations while conveying a sense of welcome upon arrival. The architecture was designed to reflect the main facilities building located opposite the entrance drive, featuring a curved elevation that serves as a welcoming beacon to the Park. The client requested a prominent reception desk, a spacious meet-and-greet lobby, management offices at the rear, and caravan sales facilities that would support a caravan display area on the far side of the building. This design resulted in multifaceted spaces that provide presentation and accessibility from all angles, as well as logistics for daily back-of-house operations. The building’s façade includes a striking rotunda that leads to the reception entrance via a glulam-supported canopy. The exterior was rendered to achieve a clean, light appearance, featuring six small windows that enhance the interior spaces while mirroring elements of the building opposite.
