Bus and Coach Sales Centre

Volvo Bus & Coach Sale Centre is located within Coventry Airport, Middlemarch Business Park. The existing building, previously ancillary to Coventry Airport, had undergone previous refurbishment projects for use as the current Bus and Coach sales office for Volvo in the Midlands.  

The client brief called for an extension to the existing building to comprise a two vehicle hand-over bay, with customer hospitality area, secure storage and a new first floor above the existing building for ancillary offices and meeting rooms. The ground floor to the existing sales office was refurbished to provide customers with a larger reception area and enhanced welfare facilities whilst the newly constructed vehicle bays are used for customer collection, inspection and hand-over. 

Paul Robinson Partnership (UK) LLP, were commissioned by Volvo Group UK Ltd to act as lead consultant during the feasibility, design, planning, and construction phases of the project, working together with Munnings Construction Ltd of Norwich to deliver the new sales centre. Extensive remodelling was undertaken, including construction of a new steel frame to encapsulate the existing building within the new development along with the benefits of air-source, underfloor heating and photo-voltaic panels to provide an energy efficient structure. The end result totally transforms the site, providing Volvo with a modern, operational sales centre at a continuing strategic location.
