Project Description
Grayling House
Grayling House is a contemporary and detached holiday home, quietly situated amidst rural surroundings, and yet only a 5-minute stroll away from the beach in Winterton-on-Sea. The property was previously a vacant telecommunications shelter owned by Virgin Media, but has since been transformed and expanded to make use of previously developed land.
The ground floor features a spacious open-plan living area with a modern kitchen, breakfast bar, and dining area. Upstairs, accommodates three bedrooms including ensuites, and an outside terrace offering views of the surrounding countryside.
Grayling House, like the metamorphosis of a Grayling butterfly – (which has its strongholds along the north and east coasts of Norfolk), has emerged from its previous uninspiring, utilitarian form into something completely different and unique for people to enjoy. The transformation of a former Virgin Media telecoms shelter which would otherwise be abandoned or demolished is a great example of what can be achieved when the sustainable repurposing of a building is considered instead.
